The 2020 Road World Championships will mark the 12th edition of the event in Switzerland and the first to be hosted in Vaud and Valais. Our cantons constitute a unique playground that will provide a memorable cycling experience.

As the home region of the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI), cycling’s governing body, it was inevitable that the cantons of Vaud and Valais would one day host the world's biggest cycling event. Here, cycling is king and there is something for every taste: flat roads or famous mountain passes, mountain or electric bike and, of course, many beautiful routes for road cycling lovers. Riding in Vaud and Valais means immersing yourself in a rich culture, discovering landscapes, wandering in charming cities, climbing to world-renowned ski resorts or stopping for a well-deserved break for a tasting of regional products.

From Aigle, Martigny, Lausanne, Sion or Montreux and Monthey to Verbier, Diablerets, Crans-Montana or Champéry, welcome to an extraordinary experience.
